Our Mica range of products occurs as a co-product from the same pegmatite ore body we mine to obtain the Microbrite® range of high quality Feldspars and the Microsil® range of high purity Silica’s.

The Mica is separated and delaminated from its host feldspar and silica ores using a specialised process to ensure negligible cross contamination.

Mica offers high aspect ratio flakes providing pearlescence , two-dimensional reinforcement, glistening aesthetic properties, inertness, acid resistance, heat stability, dielectric strength and scrub resistance for use in a diverse range of products including paints and coatings, cosmetics, electrical insulation materials, fire resistant materials, part replacement in fibre glass products as well as plastic and rubber compounds.

Micronized Products provides processing flexibility in tailoring a milled Mica to a customer’s ongoing requirement.
